The COVID-19 pandemic intensified the devastating opioid epidemic, creating an urgent need for a collaborative, multi-stakeholder response. Recognizing the critical role of Behavioral Health Networks, the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports partnered with CBC IPA, Cogency IPA, EngageWell IPA and NYC Health + Hospitals—and Samaritan Daytop Village as the lead agency to reshape prevention, treatment, and recovery services for opioid and stimulant use disorders.
