City Wide Addiction Support Network (CASN)

The COVID-19 pandemic intensified the devastating opioid epidemic, creating an urgent need for a collaborative, multi-stakeholder response. Recognizing the critical role of Behavioral Health Networks, the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports partnered with CBC IPA, Cogency IPAEngageWell IPA and NYC Health + Hospitals—and Samaritan Daytop Village as the lead agency to reshape prevention, treatment, and recovery services for opioid and stimulant use disorders.

Through borough-based initiatives in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens, the Citywide Addiction Support Network unites 21 NYC nonprofit and community-based behavioral health service provider agencies with the NYC Health + Hospitals system. Together, they deliver mobile care and expand access to comprehensive outpatient, inpatient, and emergency addiction services, reaching over 3,500 people annually.
